A third-generation lawyer, James E. Blount, IV, began practicing law in 1998. Today, he leads Blount Law Firm, PLLC in continuing a tradition of excellence and success with clients and in the courtroom. He primarily focuses on personal injury, workers compensation, product liability, and medical malpractice.
In 1994, Jimmy graduated from Rhodes College with a B.A. in English. He then went on to obtain his law degree from the University of Memphis, graduating in 1998. Jimmy immediately went on to gain invaluable legal experience at his family’s firm, and has been there since.
Jimmy is passionate about providing clients with the individual attention and representation they deserve. As part of a small firm, the team can meticulously handle each case and fight for the best possible outcome on behalf of each client. Fighting to help clients focus on their future rather than on their present legal concerns, Jimmy has established a reputation of integrity, excellence, and diligence. He is well-regarded by peers and opponents alike for his masterful handle on personal injury litigation and his genuine care and concern for each and every client he takes on.
Jimmy has been a lifelong resident of Shelby County. He is happily married and a father to three sons. Jimmy prides himself on his ability to make his clients feel at ease and will do whatever it takes to make sure that they feel listened to, respected, and comfortable.
